A Concert worth every Penny ...

Atlast it was Thala who made me blog after a long time ... :)

This was the first line I typed
"Let me make it quite brief and give 10 highlights according to me Thala's JAI-HO concert in Hyderabad " but couldn't restrict my list jus to 10 ..

  • Taal's instrumental transfusing to Ringu Ringu Ringa .. sung by the gorgeous Shreya Ghosal ..
  • AR with Khwaja mera and Javel Ali singing Maula were divine
  • Blaaze/Benny/Vivian /Shweta - Delhi 6 -- The Screen was making wonders behind the performers .. WoWWWW .....
  • Benny/Blaaze - Pappu Can't dance Saala -- Poor guy Benny he was not covered during this performance ..he was rocking both as a Dancer and Singer...
  • Vivian tryin to speak Telugu and then Benny/Blaaze joined for Taxi Taxi which made the crowd on their feet ..
  • Blaaze with his awesome RAP and AR cruised in with Humma Humma ... First few lines were jus sang by the keyboard of AR .. which was a nuance I was looking for ..
  • I was worried that there were no vintage AR's singers - like SP/Hariharan/Shankar Mahadevan/Sujatha and to my rescue it was Chitra and Sadhana who peformed two songs each ... :)
  • Shweta pandit was at her best when she sang Chandrlekha along with Lush the rapper .. she was also dancing well along with Lush ..
  • Vellai pookal was not performed but a video was shot on AR and was played in the big screen which was apt to the cause of this concert ..
  • The LED screen concept behind the performers was awesome/impressive/great .. all synonyms of awesome .. I guess its by Tech Frontiers .. They totally ROCKED ..
  • Jodhaa Akbar - Azeem oh Sha -- Sivamani with his trademark drums and slowly the song changed it track and ended with AR singing Veerapandi kotayilae .. MAN that was ..hmm.. sorry got no words to explain.. u have to experience ..
  • I was very much waiting for this part of the concert with AR on the paino as the only instrument and vocals... Vijay Prakash with Ennavalae(Tel Version) / Rashid Ali with Kahin to / Sadhana - Sarfaroshi was mind blowing ...
  • Rehna Tu was sung very well by AR where he hummed the whole continuum fingerboard instrumental thats comes during the end of the song ..
  • Javed Ali started Jash ne bahara in Telugu and changed gears to Hindi was ultimate to listen ..
  • Chaiyya Chaiyya was sung by Rehana (AR's sis) and she was rocking with a RAP mix by LUSH(She did break dancing and moon walk as MJ while Rapping for Chaiya OMG!!)
  • A guy with the sitar was jus playing like ..hmm(i dont have words to explain as I have already used all synonyms of awesome ..) ...along with AR on the piano .. and Sivamani on the drums... lead to Mausam and escape from Slumdog .. WWOooWWW ..
  • Neethi Mohan .. (I never knew her before).. she was very energetic with her Maiyya Maiyaa peformance... she was dancing superbly and did proper justice with her singing too.. i dont kno how ppl can have such breath control ..Wow is apt ..
  • Was sad that AR was not on the keyboard but he compensated as he sang many songs ..
  • Jaage Hain
  • Athiradee
  • Dil se
  • Jiya Se Jiya
  • Mustafa
  • Humma
  • Khalbali
  • Rehna Tu
  • Khwaja / Arziyan
  • Humming in Kannalanae ( Tel version sung by Chitra)
  • Jai Ho Vande mataram
  • Vellai Pookal ( It was the movie version but anyways sung by AR)
  • Suzzane was high in energy as she started with Rangeela with only few instruments at the background and then the lead guitarist started off to go on peak to start Aye Bachoo ..
  • When they started JAI HO I was quite sad as I knew its gonna be the last song of the concert and they changed the tracks to Vande Mataram and fire works at the back drop, it was stunning/ amazing picturesque ..

One improvement comment would be the acoustic effect .. it wasn't upto the mark . . quite disappointing... but other than that ... it was "A Concert worth every Penny ... " for me .. :)
